Our Promises for When Things Go Wrong

Anyone can promise you their best. We'd rather promise you our worst day, in writing.

You're considering trusting us with the most important decisions you'll ever make. So you deserve answers to the questions polite people don't ask: what happens when you make a mistake? Who checks you? What if you disappear? Here they are.

  1. 1.

If we get something wrong, you hear it from us first.

Not discovered by you. Not buried in fine print. We come to you, plainly and quickly, tell you what happened, and make it right — we redo the work, or return your fee, or help you move to independent advice if the trust is broken. That's a signed obligation. And we carry serious professional insurance from before our very first client — arranged before the first problem, not after it.

  2. 2.

The clinics we judge can challenge our facts — but never buy our opinion.

If we got a clinic's facts wrong — a credential, a price, what they offer — they can show us evidence and we'll correct it, openly. But our judgment of who's best for you is not for sale and not up for negotiation, and we tell them so to their face. Fair to them; unbuyable for you.

  3. 3.

You can always leave — with everything.

Your complete story, handed to you on request, in a form any doctor can use, free, always. It's written into your agreement — because an advisor you can't easily leave isn't an advisor, it's a landlord.

  4. 4.

We've even planned our own ending.

Strange thing to put on a website — but your agreement includes what happens if Amaranth itself ever closes: you're told, you're given time to take everything, and then what remains is destroyed. At the top tier, your advisor has a named successor from the first day. A firm asking to stand beside you for life should have planned for every ending — including its own. The ones that haven't are asking you to bet on their immortality, which is an odd request from a health advisor.
